Real Estate Section CLE & Social – “Another Day of Underwriting”
Kay Creasman, VP & Virginia State Counsel with Old Republic Title, will present insurance underwriting hypotheticals pointing out issues with who owns the real estate (including continuation of coverage and why a special warranty deed may not be best for your selling client), what it is that is owned (legal descriptions), access issues, how liens are addressed (including the Mutual Indemnity Agreement) and marketable title issues (insurable v. marketable).
