Litigation Attorney Key Responsibilities:
• Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations.

Litigation Attorney Qualifications & Skills:
• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to Virginia state bar.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in litigation, preferably in family law.

• Excellent oral advocacy and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
• Knowledge of state court procedures.

Associate – Richmond

We are seeking an Associate to join our legal team in Richmond, VA. This is a full-time, on-site role. The position also involves legal research, maintaining client communication, and collaborating with team members to ensure exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in Virginia
• Legal practice skills, including case analysis, client counseling, legal strategy development, and courtroom representation
• Strong research and writing abilities, including drafting legal documents, briefs, and correspondence
• Negotiation and mediation skills, with the ability to address sensitive family matters professionally and empathetically

Policy, Planning and Compliance Director

VRS seeks a Policy, Planning and Compliance Director to serve as a senior executive leader and strategic advisor to the VRS Director. Reporting directly to the Director, this role provides executive level legal counsel and oversight of agency policy development, legislative and governmental affairs, compliance, actuarial coordination, and administrative appeals, in coordination with the Office of the Attorney General.
